It all started before lunch/in the morning/when I woke up. I tripped over my dog/the rug/absolutely nothing and sprained my ankle/tore my pants/bruised my ego. My phone died/alarm didn't go off/coffee pot exploded, which meant I was late for work/stuck at home/totally unprepared. At work, it only improved slightly when my boss yelled at me/I spilled coffee on a report/the printer jammed and erased all my work.
Adding insult to injury, I forgot my lunch/missed the bus and ended up eating dinner with strangers/had to walk home in the rain/couldn't find my keys.
By the time I got back to my apartment/dorm room/house, I was just about ready to scream/over it.
I swear, that day was cursed/it felt like the world was against me/everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
